Madubu Gorge - Upriver on Foot (part 1)

Climb the steps and hop down into the opening near the burning torch.

Walk to the edge and take a standing jump forward to grab the handholds on the ceiling above the pool with the plug.

Monkey swing across the piranha-infested pool toward the chain. Then follow the handholds around...

...

...past the chain...

...toward the fire-breathing carved heads.

To get past the first of these traps, move forward so Lara is hanging from the sloping block just before the block with the flames. Wait for the big head to breathe fire. Then just as the flames start to abate, begin swinging forward.

By the time the trap cycles on again, Lara will have passed it.

Do the same thing for the second flame trap: hang from the block just before the flames. Wait for the fire to billow out. Then, just as it begins to die down, start swinging forward.

Keep moving and Lara should pass the trap before the flames cycle on again. Continue monkey swinging into the passageway with the brick ledges.

Follow the handholds around to the left, monkey swing toward the wall, and drop drop onto the ledge below.
