Before tackling the balance-and-blocks puzzle, go after the last two rewards. There's a staircase leading up on each side of the platform with the statue. On each balcony, there's a bronze reward (8/9 and 9/9).
The one on the right balcony (when facing the Buddha) is near the top of the stairs.
The one on the left is at the far end of the balcony.
