When you reach the the column with CHECKPOINT 2, pull up to stand on top of it and then drop and hang from the opposite edge. Move slowly as you step off, since the uneven edge sometimes causes Lara not to grab correctly.
Once Lara is hanging, you should be able to see the bronze reward (1/9) in a small alcove below. Drop down twice to reach it. Step to the left or right of the alcove and climb back to the top of the pillar.
