There are several ways to get back to the other side of the cavern.
If you didn't break them earlier, you can use the fragile ice walkways. First run straight from the pillar where you found the medi pack to the corner block, which is solid.
Then turn right and run across the next section of ice tiles. As you cross the third tile, veer to the left and jump toward the shorter, perpendicular walkway. It's OK if you don't reach it (the tile on the left isn't even solid), as long as you manage to land on the solid snowbank below.
From there, move forward toward the cavern wall and skip down to the 4th screenshot below, with the "ice walkway" labeled in the picture.

From the pillar where you found the medi pack, turn so the open cavern is on Lara's left and take a running jump to the snowy ledge ahead.
Go around the mound of clear ice on either side. If you go to the left, jump over the hole to land on the solid snow ahead. Then continue toward the back wall. If you go to the right, hop down into the trench and follow it along the cavern wall and around the corner to the left.
In either case, you'll end up here. Jump across the shallow pit. If you fall in, it's OK. Just climb out on the other side.
This is where the path across the ice walkways and the path around back converge. If you're coming from the ice walkways, turn left here so the cavern wall is on Lara's right. If you're coming the other way, the wall is already on Lara's right. Just continue forward.
Head forward to the next corner and turn left.
Just below is the pool where you entered this area. Cross over the frozen surface and climb onto the ledge to get some Uzi clips and grenades.
