Stella's Tomb Raider: Last Revelation Guide - Windows, Macintosh, PlayStation, PSP, Vita & Dreamcast

IMPORTANT: Levels 13 through 20, set in Alexandria, are interconnected. Some backtracking among them is needed to find all the necessary items. This walkthrough covers what I hope is the most direct route including all kills, pick-ups, and secrets. I have also included an ALEXANDRIA CHART outlining the basic path through the levels. This chart contains minor spoilers, such as keys and puzzle items, so you may want to avoid it unless you get lost/confused. The walkthrough also contains notes on what to do if you missed any crucial items.

LEVEL 18:  HALL OF DEMETRIUS

Updated: 5/5/19()

Kills:Items: Pharos Knot  Secrets: 0*

Follow the hall to a LARGE ROOM WITH BALCONIES AND PAINTINGS. Go through the doorway on the right (south) side of the room. (screenshot) Follow the ramps up to a small room. Take the PHAROS KNOT from the pedestal. (screenshot)

Move to the ledge overlooking the large room and safety drop to the floor. Roll, run across the room, and enter the doorway on the north side. (screenshot) Follow the ramps upward.

Cutscene: Lara enters a reading room and begins perusing the scrolls scattered on the floor. She hears a sound an looks around, sensing that she's not alone. Then she begins to read one of the scrolls. She is interrupted by Von Croy and some of his men. (A transcript of the dialogue appears in the separate Cinematics section.) As the assassins come after Lara, Von Croy escapes through a secret panel in the wall.

Deal with the 3 assassins. They appear in the doorway directly in front of Lara after the cutscene, so if you take a few steps forward and wait until all of them are clustered together, you can use a single grenade to kill them all. (screenshot) If you're out of explosives, you can fight them with pistols or other weapons. There's plenty of room here to flip and dodge to avoid their gunfire.

When the coast is clear, return up the ramp to the north to reach the room in the cutscene. Push/pull the lantern along the scrape marks on the floor (screenshot) to open the concealed door where Von Croy exited. (screenshot)

IMPORTANT: Before leaving, check your inventory to make sure you have both the PHAROS PILLAR and PHAROS KNOT artifacts. You will be able to obtain them later, but it's easier to get them both now.

If you missed the KNOT, it's in the room at the top of the ramps on the south side of this level's main room. (screenshot) The PILLAR is in the previous level, THE LOST LIBRARY. To get back there, follow the hallway to the southwest. (screenshot) Then refer to the section near the end of the LOST LIBRARY walkthrough on RETURNING TO THE UPPER LEVEL to reach the PHAROS PILLAR ROOM. Once you have both artifacts, return here and exit through the concealed door Von Croy used.

*NOTE ON SECRETS: There are 70 secrets in the entire game. These are marked "(x/70)" in this walkthrough. To check your progress in-game, press Pause (P on keyboard, Start on PlayStation or Dreamcast controller) then choose Statistics. There are no secrets in this level, but if you have found them all up to this point, you should have 52/70.

UPDATE HISTORY: 11/10/08 - Since people keep asking about this, I finally added a note about the broken glasses serving no purpose except perhaps to show that Von Croy passed this way.
5/5/19 - First major update since this walkthrough was created in 1999. This revision includes many new screenshots as well as various other corrections and clarifications.
